What is a Verification of Competency or VOC? A VOC is a method of determining the skill level of a person against a defined competency standard in order to evaluate the person’s ability to carry out the activity or works their employer requires them to do. A VOC helps ensure that employers and organisations in a variety of civil industries are meeting Work Health and Safety requirements (WHS) and have competent skilled staff working with and for them.
